JUNE'S STORY

All of us, most of all Jim, mourned the passing of June (Nana) on October 10, 2006. She had suffered from pneumonia and could not sustain life anymore. She courageously battled numerous medical problems and, in particular, had been on dialysis for kidney failure for the last six years of her life. She had severe osteoporosis resulting in many fractures of her vertebrae and she lived in constant pain.

Despite all this, she continued to walk, go to the gym, and spend time worrying about the ones she loved. She spent three days a week in the dialysis center, and more days than she would want to count in the hospital with numerous problems. She overcame all of these obstacles, but could not overcome the pneumonia that took her life.
